If you’re in Dallas, please come out and support. Katrina’s Son will be screening right before the new Danny Glover film. Maybe Mr. Glover will show up! I won’t be there the first night, because i’ll be in Mississippi at another screening, but I will be definitely be at the second screening!

So excited to let you know that Katrina’s Son was awarded Best Texas Film and The Audience Choice Award at this year’s Texas Black Film Festival. The audience award means so much, because the people spoke, and out of all the docs, shorts and features that they watched, they chose Katrina’s Son as the best. When we made this film, I honestly didn’t know what would come of it, but it’s great to see it continue to pick up steam and touch people’s hearts.
Next…Mississippi and then Toronto.
