So I’m browsing through the net, looking at Golden Globe Nominations, SAG Nominations and of course the Black Reel Nominations. As I scroll down I happen to see the Best Indie Short Category and lo and behold Katrina’s Son is named. To say I was shocked is an understatement. This has been a great ride and it’s really just beginning. The film has only been making the rounds for about six-months and I know the best is yet to come. We’ve had some disappointments and some triumphs…but I accept the good with the bad.
Thank you to B lack Reel Awards for honoring the work. Thanks to all the cast and crew and everyone who helped to make this possible. I share this film’s success with each and everyone of you. And most importantly thank you God!! And I don’t say that lightly. It’s his vision that guides me to make the work that I do.
