Third award in one week ain’t bad!
We were so shocked and honored to win this award because there were some great films that I know gave us a run for our money….but we took it It’s interesting because on one end we’ve been winning festivals and on the other we’ve been getting so many rejections. But we take the good with the bad and soldier on. What God means for us to have…we’ll have. Stay tuned, because i’m sure so much more is coming!!

While in DC I am came across a great review of Katrina’s Son in the Washington City Paper. The reviewer really loved the film and it was a standout in here eyes (based on the review she gave). Here is what she said:
“This drama (Katrina’s Son) is not so much about Hurricane Katrina, its aftermath, or its orphaned children. Rather, it’s an emblem of forgotten children everywhere. It’s a heavy piece but one that’s thoughtfully shot, acted, and directed.”

We are so excited to announce that Katrina’s Son was the only film awarded two prizes at the 2010 DC Shorts Film Festival. The film walked away with an Audience Choice Award and also the Best Cinematography Award (a big shout out to our Cinematographer, Yuta Yamaguchi). Also, a big shot out to the entire cast and crew. None of this would be possible without you all!!! More to come.
